Solveig

image

42"

This horse is thought to have been made either Ajoy (not confirmed), a company that operated from 1920-22. Few horses remain, making it unusual. Another possible attribution is Shillelagh, Ireland (pronounced shi-LAY-lee)

Solveig has a well-proportioned, shapely body and lovely long reach, making her a good choice for someone who likes a rocking horse to have pleasing form - just as a real horse should have pleasing form. She is in sturdy condition and will scrub up beautifully.

She could also be painted in a custom finish if desired.

Image has been photoshopped: Solveig's eyes were reset incorrectly during a previous renovation and were too far back in the head. Position has been corrected in this photo to give a better impression of what she should look like.
